Description
The durable Go-Sep™ sluice gates have been developed to control water flow in both directions. The water flow is regulated manually or mechanically by opening and closing the gate using the non-rising spindle. Because we work with the right materials, our valves can be used in surface water, sewers, disposal systems and other aggressive environments.
Our Go-Sep™ sluice gate valve series were developed and designed by Engineers in Europe and proudly made in America. Manufacturing takes place in our own factory in New Jersey. In this way we can guarantee you the best quality products and fastest lead times. We work with highly durable high-quality first-class new all black High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). This material is known for its durability, its resistance to oil, grease and other chemicals and has a lifespan of over 50 years.

Body
For the production of our valves, we work with all black High Density Polyethylene. This material is a unique thermoplastic distinguished by its strength. HDPE is extremely durable with multiple applications and has a lifespan of over 50 years. The ease with which these materials can be recycled by the individual consumer not only protects the environment, but also increase their desirability. This is one of the reasons why the use of this material has increased enormously in the reason years.
HDPE is harder and more rigid than low-density polyethylene and increases a higher tensile strength. It is three times better in compressive strength tests and it is stronger and more opaque than standard forms of polyethylene. It can act as a barrier against moisture and remains solid at room temperature alongside displaying UV resistant attributes that block out harmful rays from the sun.
Additionally, it proves environmentally friendly during its production and used by consumer without leakage of toxic chemicals. Its thermoplastic characteristic makes HDPE easily recyclable as it can be melted down into liquid form and it is much more commonly recycled than its other polyethylene counterpart, LDPE. The advantages of HDPE are:
- Excellent durability in both hot and cold temperatures
- Impervious to chemicals
- Flexible scores with exceptionally long lives
- Stability in outdoor applications
- FDA approved
- Environmentally friendly in production
- Recyclable for use in secondary applications or producing high-energy fuels
- CPSIA compliant
Sealing rubber
The gate valves are provided with an EPDM sealing rubber that makes sure no water can escape the valves. EPDM is a type of high-density synthetic rubber which is extraordinarily durable. It is able to withstand high temperatures up to 266°F and because of that it is used as a component within a wide variety of industries. EPDM is also popular as an outdoor rubber as it’s resistant to weathering including acid and alkali resistance. As such, you’ll typically find it being used for things such as window and door seals or waterproofing sheets. EPDM also has exceptional abrasion and tear resistance.
